mine was the adventures of brer rabbit and brer bear by uncle remus
oh yes pippi longstocking was great fun
I don’t remember the author, but there were a few of them- a mini series of sorts, maybe 10-12 books. It was called The Little Witch and she was always getting into great mischief and had a very creative imagination. She wore knee high striped stockings. I loved those books.
